Clayton Child Center now offers a back up care option on an individual family level for days when your child’s school is closed. No School Today is offered from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm at our 1414 Bellevue Ave location. The program is designed to serve children that are in kindergarten through 6th grade offered September through May.
Clayton Child Center has only 16 scheduled days off during the school year. We have not closed because of snow in over 25 years! We make every effort to remain open. Why does a family need back up? Look at your child’s school calendar and count the number of teacher conference, work days and vacation days that are scheduled. The No School Today is designed to fill in those days.
Families can purchase a 5-day package of care and use each individual day as needed. These days NEVER expire and do not need to be used consecutively. The 5-day package can not be transferred to another family. The non refundable 5-day package costs $400. Parents are asked to schedule in advance for planned days off or as early as possible on a snow day at NoSchoolToday@claytonacademy.orgor 314-727-2643 after 7:30 am.
In order to participate, families will need to be preregistered with the Clayton Child Center to allow immediate access to the program. Preregistration includes a completed child record form, immunization records, and copies of parent’s driver licenses along with prepayment of fees.
On days where ten or more students are scheduled on a No School Today and it is not a snow day, a special field trip and lunch will be scheduled. Preregister now, so that when you need it the backup program will be ready to serve your family. The child record form is attached.
